Type 95 or G3 for first unlock - what do you think?

So how big of difference from the standard weapons do the Type 95 and G3 have? I know what the game guide's weapon guide says and I want your opinion from your game play. I remember the big difference the G3 makes but only remember being able to shoot people in helis with the Type 95 (during the hacked server time).

Sniper and assault; split about even but I would say sniper now

if you use the grenade launcher alot, then the g3 will be a downgrade for you (less ammo), if you like to shoot few bullets to get kills, then the g3 will be good.

For the m95, if you like to play on the us side, it's not worth it. If you play ont he mec/chinese...then yeah it is a decent upgrade (though not exactly great).

In my opinion, the anti-tank got the most "difference" betweent he basic and the upgraded gun.

The M95 is a great sniper rifle for those avid snipers out there that are bored with the typical infantry engagement and want to broaden the possible targets. This sniper rifle is great for shooting drivers in medium armor transports such as humvees and vodniks, as well as shooting the occasional gunner/pilot out of a hovering helicopter. It must be said that it can be extremely difficult to shoot pilots and gunners from helicopters if they are moving or if they are hovering at long distances (roughly 500 meters or more), for the bullet drop comes into play and depending on elevation of you and the target, it can be somewhat difficult to determine the proper angle at which to fire. Unless you are an insainly good sniper and are able to use this kit to rack up tons of kills each map, you may find that this unlock serves little more than to spice up your gameplay, rather than dramatically adding to your kills.
As for the g3, I've only used this gun a couple times (taken off my enemy's dead corpses) and it seems to be a nicely balanced assault rifle. I have yet to determine the advantage of having the assault kit's body armor with this gun vs. a kit such as the special ops with the g36c and no body armor.
Conclusively, if your looking for a change of gameplay, I'd go with the M95 but if you wish to aquire a gun that will rack up the kills each round, you should probably go with the g3.

the sniper isn't much better than the stock ones. except for shooting thru windows.
g3 can be one shot headshot on single shot mode. Not quite so good long range though

The type 95 is the china sniper...do you mean M95 for sniper unlock?

No my mistake i thought it was m95 earlier then I looked in the guide and saw type 95 for some reason... now that I look back I did something stupid - china is type 88 and the unlock is the m95 (one on top of the other)- I'm stupid (not really)

it really depends on how you play.. for me i have the patience to be a sniper... although i am pretty good at it...(49% is from learnin how 2 snipe)

i have the G3, and its pretty good, you can **** up someone real fast w/ that

so if you are good with the Ak, or M16... id go with the G3, but if you are like me and are a good sniper get the M95, youll mostlikely use it on MEC and CHICOM teams...

and both weapons take getting used to, so whichever you get, just play with it for a while and you'll get the hang of it.... eventually

and not to mention the M95 makes people fly when they die which is pretty cool, and you can get headshots w/ everyweapon if your good enough

Um so can both AK's lol. The only difference with the G3 to the AK's is that it takes one less chest shot on armored guys. And in my opinion it doesnt make up for the lack of ammo per clip, and lack of the grenade launcher(the only reason to play assault). Although i must add its sound and look make it a very nice gun to use.

The 95 is by far my favorite sniper, and its just as accurate as the M24, its just that it has much greater bullet drop. It pierces body armor, leaving everyone with 2 bars, making them easy for a teamate to pick off. Its glass feature is also very usefull for those hovering blackhawks, and its always fun to lure a jeep at you, only to prone and headshot him, letting his car pass over top of your proned self.

But when it comes down to it upgrades are not better than stock weapons, there just different and add new stuff to the game.

well not really, M24 is more accurate... and both M24 and M95 leave you with 2 bars health regardless of where you hit them... trust me...

If you play sniper alot get the M95 its alot better then people think you just have to get a feel for it it takes awhile to get the hang of it though so if you dont want to wait get the g3 i have that also and its a good gun kill in 2-3 shots and you can get about 4 kills a clip if your good with it

The G3 is one of my favorite long range weapons. It has power and accuracy in single shot mode. I don't like is using it in close quarters combat and full auto becuse it is slow and has a small clip.

I love the G3, i don't know why, i just have a knack for racking up the highest points as assault on our team (as in the highest scoring assault), it's just so fun to use, dunno about the M95, it's balanced, it pierces body armor and armored glass, but it only has the accuracy of an svd.
