Resolution Problems

This is my first time posting in this forum, so I hope this is in the right place. I just finished building my first computer, and I think it's pretty nice:

K8N SLI Platinum (MS-7100)
Athlon 64 X2 4800+
2 BFG GeForce 7800 GT OC
2 (512x4) GB OCZ ram(2-3-3-7)
300 GB Maxtor SATA
LITE-ON DVDRW SOHW-1693S

Anyway, my problem is that I can't go above 1024x768 while in the game, and I know I should be able to go higher, because I have in all my other games. My 3DMark05 is around 9300. Do you guys have any ideas? Thanks.

Add the desired resolution to the shortcut

e.g. "C:\Program Files\EA Games\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +szx 1280 +szy 1024

Actually, I am. I'm using a ag nuevo f-419, which is rated for 1280x1024.

Then you need add that line Talus said and it will NOT show up in the options.my Options is set to 800x600@60 but I play in 1280x1024

So how can you say it didn't fix the problem if you didn't actually do it?

Make a shortcut to BF2 on your desktop (or use an existing one).

Right-click it and select 'Properties'.

Copy and paste this into the 'Target' field:
"C:\Program Files\EA Games\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +szx 1280 +szy 1024

If you have installed the game to another directory other than the default, then you'll have to edit the above line accordingly.

Now..run the game from this desktop icon.

It SHOULD overwrite anything you have selected in the options menu. It will STILL SAY 1024x768. Now..load up a map ... you'll be in 1280x1024.
