LockOn is a great game but I havent figured out how to turn off autopilot, it keeps pulling my plane to where it wants not to where I plan to kick ass.

Lock On Gold/Flaming Cliffs: It's a year or two old now, but hardware has only just caught up... I manage to play in 1280x960@85hz & FSAAx2 with a mix of settings with my 6600GT, 2GB Corsair RAM, Athlon 64 3200+ venice. It's probably the best looking sim out there, but F4:AF has far more depth.









They're also using the Lock On engine to create a KA-50 Helo sim; Black Shark:

Get Lock on MODERN AIR COMBAT it features the su27, su33, mig 29, F15, su-25 and the A-10.
Very good game!
The game isn't arcade style and is pretty realistic. My favourite planes in it are the A-10 and F-15 because I like the A-10s GAU-8 Avenger 30mm mini gun (isn't exactly mini as its the size of a car)

and the enormous payload it can carry.
The F-15 is awsome cause of its superior handling, great radar and its payload. The su27 is pretty cool, but in high angle of attack maneuvers, it often enters a spin. Also, i have yet to try the Cobra that the su27 is capable of in a dogfight

The game has a short learning curve (at least for me because I already knew allot about a plane and how everything works)
It has some nice eye candy, and I'm currently making a movie, that is me playing lock on. It will be high resolution and will show you a video of some of the features in it. In one week it will be done.
Also, cockpit veiw is very cool as the cockpit is totally 3d.

DONT buy the game if you have a old graphics card, anything bellow Geforce 5s won't work, the screen will go blue every so often.

The bad things is the the game exits on loads, or maybe its me and my computer

Press A again to turn it off. And cycle throught way points with the 1 and ~ keys.

If its a AWACS havcap mission dont use the Autopilot, press \ and vector to nearest bandits.
the first number they say is the heading to fly to get to the enemy, the second number is the distance in Miles. High means the plane is flying high and Hot means fast.

If you are in a combat mode, and turn on the auto pilot, it will fly straight and level.
