Just got my GTX and I was expecting a little more. I'm only getting around 60 FPS...benchmarks I have seen have shown 99 fps constant. Any ideas? Specs in sig.

Re: Not getting very good performance..
I take that back, im getting around 35-60 fps. The number on the right side of the FPS command in the top right is now usually around 22-24, when it used to be around 15. I think that number is CPU usage..you think my processor could be a little bit of a bottleneck? Maybe a reinstall of BF2 would work? Any ideas would be great.

Re: Not getting very good performance..
that's what I would guess is that your cpu is lagging it.

Re: Not getting very good performance..
I will assume you cleaned out your old drivers? Re-installed the new ones.
In all honesty, the 7800GTX from the 6800 Ultra is not going to be a huge jump. Also check the test rig of the sample you saw. That will tell you a lot.

Re: Not getting very good performance..
Rig I saw was
AMD FX-57
1 GB OCZ DDR400
Nvidia 7800GTX (the one with lower clock speeds, not the OC version that I got)
77.77 drivers
Rig I'm using
AMD Athlon 64 3200 Venice
2 GB Corsair VS DDR400
XFX 7800 GTX 490/1300
77.72 drivers
I just reinstalled, downloading the patch now then im gonna see if the reinstall helped. Then if not I will try 77.77 drivers.
The jump may not be that big, but if a benchmark says 99.9 fps, i doubt he would be getting around 35-60.

Re: Not getting very good performance..
It's your cpu, you have a fairly cheap cpu, and the FX-57 is the top of the range single core 64.

Re: Not getting very good performance..
I still shouldn't be getting 35 fps. I'm getting around 40 most of the time. How do you use driver cleaner, I'll download it and try installing new drivers. I don't know how to use it though, I tried before and was lost.

Re: Not getting very good performance..
The number to the right of your fps is the delay between frames in milliseconds. If it says 16-17 then you are getting 60 fps. IT IS NOT CPU USAGE. If you have the Venice chip and a decent mobo and ram you could probably squeeze another 400-600 mhz out of it.

Re: Not getting very good performance..
So does the number on the right have to do with my monitor? Because my monitor is a PoS..I can't even find any information on it on the internet. I think it's a Circuit City brand, that's where I bought it from about a year and a half ago before I was into PC gaming.
LiquidVideo 17" is all I know. It's an LCD.
