    AT and lock-on warning sound

    I have a question..
I've been using the AT class a lot lately, after I unlocked the DAO, but I'm not sure when the enemy I'm tracing starts hearing the warning sound inside his vehicle?

The reason I'm asking is that it's better to launch your rocket another direction than straight at your enemy - and then guide it onto him at the last second so he wont have time to react.

Does the warning sound come on when your target is in the small circle in the middle? Or is it the next circle?

    Thanks.

I think it's only giving a warning sign when the aimspot turns red.

Aye when it turns red the warning sounds.

When I run outta ammo I highlight a tank still just to cack him up and make him retreat :P

        Are you sure?
If this is correct, then you can hit them without them hearing a sound (apart from the explosion) by shooting in another direction, then guiding it onto him (as it wont have time to turn red)?

Yes, I do it all the time, works fine! They never knew what hit them :)

i do the same thing to helicopters when i have no chance of hitting them i just aim and hope they retreat....

as for the sound, they hear it immediately you aim...just aim a little to their left or right or above and shoot, gauge the distance and a second before just aim it to them and with practice it should always hit him...that is very important to learn especially in karkand against the americans...

It starts to sound when an AT guy goes into scope. I have been in armour where one AT guy was aiming at me, waiting to fire and the Lock on sound was on.

It is not when u fire the rocket.

after using it for a long time, i forget about zooming unless its far away, i just fire and guide at medium ranges
