okay, so i got the new map pack for bf2, and ran the .exe file. it said everything ran beautifully, but i when i run bf2, i am still not allowed into those mapped servers. what gives?

It tells me I need to revert my game back to the original version of battlefield2, in order for me to be able to play on the server...what I don't understand is that I will be playing on the server then, when the game is over the server will tell me this...does it change servers? I reinstalled it and then put the patch version 103 on and it still boots me from the certain servers even if i have the same mod filter applied. If I click on same version on the filters it does not bring up any servers. I have reinstalled 2 times now and it is getting anoying.... Thanks for the help

In your first post you explained that you installed the map pack but can't play on servers running those custom maps.
Your second post is a little confusing though. Do you get this message when playing on custom maps or playing on ranked servers (nor maps)?
If you can play BF2 normally but you get kicked at the end of a round when it loads up a new map and the error is 'modified content' then this means that the 1.03 patch didn't work 100%.
Open the patchlog.txt file in /my docs/BF2/dmp/ and it'll show you which files were not patched. It is probably always the same map(s) that crashes.Comment

I am not sure which maps they are it may only be a certain map, but the error says for me to revert my bf2 to the original version. Should i try to install the patch again, or should I uninstall the the game then reinstall it then try to run the patch again? If I don't install the patch and leave the game in its original state, I never seem to go up rank or receive points after a game or 3. But here recently when I installed the game and the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd patch it moved me up 2 ranks. That is when all the booting from servers started. I then reinstalled the game and installed the 1st up date from EA's web site I did not seem to get booted as much but still am getting booted...I will have to check that file when I get home to see what you are talking about...thanks for all your help.

The patchlog.txt file will explain which files didn't get patched correctly (though it seems that it worked fine).
NEVER install patches 1 & 2. You should just install BF2 and the latest patch 1.03Comment
