Anyone have AGP X800XL and download 5.9 Catalyst???

DINGDINGDINGDING. I have one, just downloaded those drivers, too busy at work to lay BF2, i'll start playing BF2 on the weekend probably, so far i've went from 5.6, 5.7,5.8, and now 5.9. Never had any problems with Cat drivers.

I've got an X800 Pro and I just downloaded them. I'll install them in a bit.

I wasn't too happy about that download manager ATi up and decided to start using... It crashed Firefox the first time I tried to download the drivers.

Yes , I have the agp x800xl and i downloaded the 5.9 drivers about 2 hours ago. I played for almost that whole length of time - no problems so far and the game seemed a bit more "stable" or "smoother". very minor though.

I have all settings on high /6aa/100%vd and was hoping it would help with the stutter at the beginning of large maps but i stilll get that 5 sec stutter , other than that its running fine man.

what! thats crazy what cpu do you have? I have an x800xl and play with everything on high but shadows (medium) and aax2 and I get some lag sometimes in intense shootouts.

Got it, maxed out the settings, no lag, 5.9, all going good so far.

nothing major , xp3200+ , 1.5 gig ram , that x800xl256mb
I did tons of tweaking , what i found is if i lowered my destop resolution it helps a bit while ingame. I have my ingame res only at 1028 or so. I pumped it up to max and got stuttering but didnt notice much of a graphics difference other than a "widescreen" sort of effect.

Oh well textures is a mutha phukin fps eater. I just installed the 5.9 drivers and BF2 does seem a little smoother but no big thing.

i wos usualy plaing on 1240x1024 evry thing on high exept light
p4 3.0 ghz prescot 1 gig dual 2.5,3,3,8 radeon 9800xt
i had fps from bout42-90 fps

my 9800xt died:cry: some time ago after storm i had luck that it wos on warrant and tomorow shop will give me x800xl

OMG, do you only play on 64 player servers or what dude. THose settings are quite low, i run BF2 maxed out settings, 1280x960, and 6xtaa (taa means temporal anti-aliasing, it doubles the effect of the aa).

Maybe, because if you put vid settings high on 64 player servers, lag comes up and all this wierd stuff happens. Try maxing out the settings, as well as AA, and try going to a 32 player Karkand server.
