I'm left handed, so the controls I use are somwhat wack...

Mouse in LH...

KB - wasd for me = p;l'
reload O, crouch K, jump sprint = default
most of the in-game controls are fairly close to my right hand
middle mouse = enter/exit vehicle

wasd - such a waste of time
cant use ujhk because i have ergo keyboard and that just would not feel right - lol
i have keys mapped across the gap - but they are not primary keys

EDSF movement (more keys available - same idea as ujhk)
G - enter/exit
A - pickup kit
B - push to talk
R - reload
Q & T - quick voice commands (default i think)
Mouse wheel click - primary weap (3)
many other mouse buttons programmed too (have 8)
W - knife - for the ultimate kill on noobers

other keys mapped too - but those are primary

I never use default wsad - what a waste of the rest of the keyboard.

Kept default except changed sensitivity on planes and helis, inverted mouse for planes and helis. I have also got:

c-crouch
b-pull up find it helps a bit

I personally like pressing down on the scroll wheel for sprinting (probably a carry-over from CoD gaming). I use my bottom side button for jumping (MX-510), top side button for VOIP (never used ), small button below scroll wheel is pistol, with the other two buttons above/below wheel for weapons 4 & 5. Left & right mouse buttons are standard shooting and aiming. Hey, let's get rid of the crosshairs!

Flying is all mapped to the joystick (MSFF Sidewinder 2). I recently added the ability to use my hatswitch for panning (mouse look) left & right. Mapped the flares, map, rear view and mouselook to base. Thumbstick pans view and toggles cockpit.

Played around with mouse sensitivities. Prone is Spacebar. Most other things default.

Bottom line is just practicing with whatever setup you have so the keys become second nature thus improving response time. Liked the concept of using the alternative keys from "W/S/A/D". Appreciate the reasoning though I don't use this setup.

Anyone using the BF2 custom keyboard? Care to share your comments about its advantages.
