A new forceware driver has been leaked that gives me literally a 50% increase in 3dmark in sli mode. However, I have shadow and placement issues in BF2. I have provided the article here...

I would be interested to know if anyone else see's the odd shadows. I decided to post it here because BF2 is the only game I play and the prevous drivers were fine. Now, it looks like the APC is in mid air, about 8" off the ground in some areas...particularly over small bumps as in the road to town from USMC base in Karkland.

So, I would have to say, with tweaking this is going to rock our nvidia world, but for now I'm disappointed.

Been leaked?! Isn't it on Nvidia's official site? I'm running it with no problems.

edit: nevermind, it's 78.01.

the drivers arent leaked just select the beta option on the drivers portion of the nvidia site :p

Even on that download page it says:

First reports on the drivers are not very good though.
Remember, these are beta drivers. Don't complain if they do not work good on your system.

These are un-certified beta drivers. You should expect problems with any beta software (the bf2 editor proves that! )

ewww... i love my shadows and my performance is decent. i'll stick with what i have now. last time i updated my drivers, performance went to hell for some reason.

6800GT and same odd shadows here. They seem to change direction and size as I look around. Plus they are not always bound to their object... Glad I'm not the only one having this problem :)
Not sure if it's the card, or if it is the game, or maybe the drivers..?

thx for testing nemisis and making the same observation.
I'm going to try to find where i can post this info so it gets fixed.
I have a 20+ % increase in fps with the drivers, but it's not worth it with the shadows.
I am curious to see if anyone also ends up getting some very strange color changes as well. This happened after about 30 minutes.
I'm wondering if it's pushing the limits of the video processors.

That 20+% increase in FPS sure does sound nice though. Can't wait til its fixed. :)
