Usernames being taken...or not?

Hi,

When playing BF2, It is common that you join clans, leave clans, and join other clans. Now I noticed that clantags sometimes are overlooked by the registration system.

I registered the nick [-_-]Hertog-Tim but since I am leaving the clan with the [-_-] tag, I would like to use just Hertog-Tim.

So I deleted the one WITH the clan tag, and tried to make Hertog-Tim.
Unique nick already in use...

I had the same problem with the name MrDrako and Drako
I had |RED|Drako, MrDrako(no tag),
But none of these are usuable anymore since I deleted the account.
All of them keep saying: already in use.

Is there a next step in deleting your account to perm delete it?
Please help..

I think using a different email address is the key to your problem. Try a different addy with each account.

I tried that, but the key is actually not using the same email AND password. but thats only if the unique nick is not in use, and in my case,
it is (not, but you try telling EA). Even though no tracker site knows it, or when I do retreive account with that nick, it says incorrect nick..

Actually, it all has to be done at gamespy.

In that post it says:
You cannot retrieve an older account used for other titles
So I have to create an account IN GAME.

okay but I have been able to register the nick Hertog-Tim at gamespyid.
so it IS open.

but the way I see it now, is that I need to annoy gamespy to fix it?

The Hertog-Tim account should now be retrievable from the games Retieve button for useage in BF2.

I have the same problem with mine, it's JiMfoxtrot, but I want =JiM=foxtrot but it says its taken.
