The ones that work. In all honesty, I'd use the install disk that it came with and see how it works. Only upgrade to 5.8's if you have an issue.

The Cat. 5.8 drivers from www.ati.com are what I recommend.

Right now im using modded 5.9 drivers from ngohq.com for my X850 XT

I've used the 5.7 & 5.8. I recorded a 2-5 fps drop without seeing a difference in quality. Still have the shadow pixelation issue though.

I can use shadows either on medium or high and still have jagged edges. Must be an ATI thing.

I'm using the 5.8's with my X850 XT PE and no issues but shadow pixelation is the same for me, but not bothered..

Never had a problem with any of omegas drivers. Try the 5.8 omegas and see for your self.

hi guys thanks for ur respones.
i tried the omega 5.9s they loaded ok but windows hardware wizard kept starting up saying found new hardware.so there is a prob there,i uninstalled them and tried the offical ones and they work fine,
i did like the omegas as i used them with my old card,so i will look into why windows had probs with them.but last night i just wanted to play bf2 with my new card and see wat it is like.not that impressed tbh,ok now i can have the settings up,but my fps is still around 20-35 and after seeing benchmarks for bf2 with this card i was expecting a higher fps than that.
wat fps are u guys getting with this card,and wat systems r u running.
mine is
p4 2.4,
1gb 2700 ram,
p4p800x mb,
60 gb harddrive,
x850xt pe,

bulletproof-monk, your bottleneck is in the slower PC2700 RAM you have installed. The rest of your system is far and above your old memory.

shamus,cheers i thought the ram might be bottlenecking my system,but would it really effect the fps????
dont know much about ram so wat is the best out there atm 3200????
also wat is a good brand as i heard that the brand of ram can make a lot of diff,even if its the same spec ram.

The speed of ram (mhz) has very little or no effect at all on fps. If you want to play with High detail textures, which your Radeon could handle easily, then you should buy another 1gig of RAM or else you might experience a lot of stuttering during gameplay.

The "brand" of RAM doesn't really matter. With lower latencies you only notice the difference in benchmark programs, not in games. But of course, you should buy the same brand/model RAM you already have to make sure that all the sticks will be compatible with eachother
