What the hell is wrong?

i cannot get the freaking armor ribbon -- cannot get the armor ribbon
what the hell is wrong with me I always get to within 2 or 3 kills for it and the goddamn round ends or something terrible happens. I am not gonna ask "Hey guys, how did you get yours?" (i know where the search button is) BUT HOW LONG DID IT TAKE YOU (WAS IT EASY AND PAINLESS OR HOURS OF FRUSTRATION) -- oh and on a side note -- last night i was playing on some server (trinitygaming i think) and the funniest thing was that in the server rules its "Do not use the lords name in vain" -- i decided to test it out (being 12 beers into the night made it more fun) so guess what I get into the game and start yealling goddamn every two minutes -- you guesses kicked and banned -- anyhow just a funny little tidbit

The Armored Service Ribbon is
· 20 Minutes in an Armor Class Vehicle
· 14 Kills in a Tank/APC vehicle

Basic Armor Badge is 10 minutes in Armored Vehicle

so if you are going for 10 minutes in a tank... find a tank and camp it for 10 minutes. As for how long it took me... 1st try... cause it's just sitting there doing nothing. If you fail at doing nothing, then something is wrong with you

If it's the ribbon you mean.. then get into a tank and get into an enemy camp and just spawn rape them till you count 14 kills. Then go camp until you get your 20 minutes. Also took 1st try to get.

youre right i meant the ribbon not the badge -- i guess ill try raping spawn point -- even though its against my morals but you gotta do what you gotta do huh

Serach for only large map servers and then get into a game where there are only 32 players or less. There are alot more tickets, thus more opportunity for kills.

I got mine without trying. . . I was an engy in a tank on Karkand and I got to the front line and just raped people coming down the hill. If I got hit, I backed off, repaired, and moved back to the front line.

All of a sudden I got it.

And don't do stupid things like necromancer suggested. Sitting there and doing nothing is a waste of the tank and is incredibly pathetic.

In contrary to explosive badge, armor ribbon seemed quite easy to me.
Took only one serious attempt. I simply played one round "tank only".
I think it was Kubra. It isn't difficult to get a tank there. Especially if you spawn there were your tank was from as the tank will spawn shortly after you.
I just did go for all I could get... jeep, infs, tanks.... (no spawn camping or sth like that)
Of course I was engineer too and sometimes asked for supplies.

or, you can just play to win for your team, playing whatever class you like (or that is necessary for the moment), and it's really cool when the notification(s) come up in-game, as you are fighting it out.

that's the best, most fun way, IMO.

So it has to be solid 20 minutes without being killed?? Does it have to be exactly 14 kills, or anything over? I have nearly 3000 kills, over 50hrs and 20+ kill streaks in armour and no ribbon to show for it.

I some how managed to get this one last night. Wasn't trying to get it at all. I was playin MEC in a tank and US were stuck in their main base. As I didn't want to spawn rape i hung around a couple of our bases picking off the odd buggy etc that got through. At 20 kills i got the ribbon. I guess it was about 20 minutes into the game.
