    VOIP= serious lag...anyone?

    i stoped playing bf2 since a while but i need a response to this: does you guys when you activate VOIP tends to get some serious lag??? even on single player when voip is activated i get serious bizzare lag...like 50fps but cant move my mouse for 1 or 2 sec every 10sec.
    anyone got this problem?
    ill replay bf2 when patch comes out...promise...but this lag is not the reason.
    thx for responding

    ps:sorry for english faults if so

    Yes i have had this problem since i bought my USB headset. But i only get this lag if i create a LAN server and have VOIP activated, never if I join a server. So when i like to check a map out offline i unplug the headset and use the speakers for sound or inactivate the voip.

            I have voip on, only to hear commanders / etc.., but use TS for communication. In game voip's usually sound like crap (CS:S, UT2k4), and bf2 didn't let down in that respect...

              My conclusion is that your machine determines the lag you get from VOIP. On my Athlon 64 3500+/1GB RAM/6600GT/SB Audigy ZS system I have no such trouble (most settings on high, including audio). On my P4 1.6gHZ/512MB/9600XT/No sound card system, I get major jumps in latency when I transmit or receive.

                voip enabled = lag for me , athlon 2800/1,5 GB / 9800PRO256/onboard audio
                disabling it and running ventrilo fixed lag and "your conn has probs"

                  Re: VOIP= serious lag...anyone?

                  no lag at all from VOIP and I only play on ranked servers that have it enabled. I also have TS, Ventrilo, and Xfire active on the same system.

                  NVidia 6800 (low/med custom setting), Soundblaster Live! (old school one), Intel 2.66 GHZ, 2G Ram

                    Use it in every game I play, no problem at all. I also leave TeamSpeak going with TeamSpeak Overlay and will usually have Xfire going.

                          ...so the problem only affect people who uses voip through USB?
