    Re: Anti Tank missles

Increasing the AT splash would only be a good idea after they fix several other issues in the game. Namely jumping around like a rabid hare while firing. If you're in the air and fire a shotgun or AT, I'm willing to bet you'd fall on your rear. They should make it so you can't jump (or maybe only a foot) when you have the AT out.

You guys do understand that modern day Anti-Tank missiles are not "Jet Propelled C4" right?

They only create a minimal explosion. The weapons are designed to destory the tank from the inside with a concentrated explosion, not a large one. So, the splash damage is about right on these weapons. Now, what the true problem is that the maps aren't dynamic. A RPG-7, or AT-4 don't really kill with the blast, morso with the debris than anything... (Yes, I know they aren't using RPGs or AT-4s in the game, just wanted to give you an example).

So, if the maps were dynamic when an AT-Rocket landed next to you it wouldn't be the explosion directly that kills you, but the concrete and sharp brick ripping through you as it's propelled by the blast. Keep in mind, AT rounds penetrate armor THEN explode; they don't explode on contact.

Hey, I was just gonna say that :P
If EA want to improve the game even more, a larger variety of AT rockets is a must. As you explained, AT rockets are designed for armor, not personnel (just like tank shells... there are different types for different targets) - if EA could add a RPG launcher as another unlock for the AT it would be pretty awesome - the RPG will cause much greater damage to infantry and unarmored vehicles, but would be completely useless against armor + it's not guided.

Because it is meant to be an AT missile, not an AP missile. That is why you have better armor and a subgun/shotgun with that kit.

Otherwise you would end up with the same problem Desert Combat had with the stingers in one of their earlier betas, people not only used them against air, they used them for sniper rifles.

If you made it too effective against infantry, you would only have people running around with just AT kits all the time. People are already whining about the spud launchers on the assault class, you would end up with more people whining about that class and the AT class all of a sudden lol.

Yet they still do a good deal of damage against them.

Why is it you can be in the Anti Air tank and come across a APC and because your at point blank range you can fire your main gun and your missles and you die out of the match how is this possible when a APC gets taken down by two anti tank rockets......The Anti Air tank is pointless...

The AA vehicle is not meant to go up against armored vehicles. It is meant for Air units. And it will also Shred the hell out of infantry. The AA vehicle should always convoy with friendly armor for protection & also to protect the armor vehicles. I love the Linebacker to shred the infantry, They don't stand a chance in hell against it. Nor do hovering helis!

Anti Tank missiles are not supposed to have high splash damage (as do SABOT tank shells for instance). They are supposed to have a high level of penetration.
One thing though - one modern real life anti tank missile would be enough to cripple tanks, unlike battlefield.
                      It comes down to gameplay.

Whatever you said Venom, is terrible English. Consider rewording that phrase to get people to understand it.

I am talking about that when you shoot an AT missile by their foot, they don't even move. They remain motionless or continue with their walking motion. It should at least move them or knock them down...

I have been killed by the AT missiles, but you are right, when you shoot someone it rarely kills them. I shoot a missile at them, they don't flinch, 1 sec. later I get murdered by one or two shots from their M-16 or whatever gun they have. Just one of many flaws in the game.

And it takes three to actually take out a tank. Yeah, between firing off three rounds and the excrutiating reloading time you're toast.

I did take down a BH with a lucky shot. I guess he already had high damage and I just finished him off. I was cool seeing the six kills on the screen. Wish I had taken a screenshot for posterity's sake.

If you hit a tank in the right spot, you can have it on fire in two shots. The reason the AT class has a subgun/shotgun is for infantry, that's what those guns are there for. I play that class alot, so I chose the DAO as my unlock, it was worth it, it is excellent against infantry.

With the Stingers/IGLAs it's much worse.
Even if a stinger rocket hits an infatry right on the body, he just flies like 1 meter in the air, and then stands again, without even taking any damage.
                                Just makes no sense.
