O.K. out of the two unlocks i have chosen i like well.. none of them, firstly the G36 blows, i had my fun with it in the demo, so i chose it now im unhappy, now i have a G3, and it blows too....(my personal opinion)...so i think with the next patch they should either come up with a trade in program, or a shooting range to test them out... so... umm yea please vote...

Find a UNRANKED server with unlocks on - thats your firing range =P

But I dig this idea. I *HATE* the L85 - i rather depend on the AK (thanks to using stock weapons during CAL, i've improved quite a bit)

yea, but it would just make it easier, like when u start up the game and it askes do you want this? and your like can i test it?... and its its like ok!

funny how most unlocks aren't as powerful or accurate as the stock ones....

Id say they should all be available (w/o hacks) in SP to test them out.

Find a UNRANKED server with unlocks on - thats your firing range

but first you have to find a server and then find someone to aim at.
A firing range when you're given the option to unlock would be much easier.
With moving targets and targets at a set distance to shoot at.

Yeah, a firing range sounds right good, actually. Although I'm very pleased with all my unlocks thus far, a shooting range in general, not just for the unlocks, would be pretty cool. That way you can test the original weapons and compare it to the upgrades to see if they're worth it or not. The trade-in seems too cheap to me, especially if you can just trade unlocks on the fly there'd be no reason to have more than one, but the shooting range is a good idea.

Trade-in is better than shooting range; trying weapons without opposition is not really a good test. I can get the same effect as a shooting range easily by modding my SP game. Trade-in would have to be severely limited somehow; can't be trading weapons every week or it defeats the purpose of the unlocks.

The G36C is the most accurate gun in the game. And the G3 is devistating. You must either suck at using them or really not like guns at all. I dont know what kind of gun you are looking for.

It isnt a big issue there are only 7 unlocks, most of the time you can test them out when you find one online, It ruins the whole aspect of the unlocks, that they are unique and you are to be facinated when you see someone using one. As a reward. If you could trade them back in and keep swapping all the time it would ruin it. I agree that you should be able to test fire them with just a 2 minute small round or something but dont take the fun out of the unlocks. Then players with lance corporal will just change unlock all the time. Unless you only have 1 for each account.

i forgot to add in that there would be like 1 allowed change.

and im in marketing, so i its my job to make people do what i want , although i still leave the option in saying no

and if you could read my sig, you would clearly see that i am a sniper... so i do like guns, and im sure i've fired more real ones than you've seen in your life

Heh, Scroggs, i dont mean to put you or Daz down, but its not wize to say anything to the effect of "i like guns, ive shot more then youve ever seen" because their are FAR more military people then you could believe that play this game

just a thought

and i think a shootin range with a bunch of bunny hopping/dolphin diving ppl with naders/knives in a small arena would rock, you could get thrown in the middle if your testing DAO-12, or up in stands for the m95

unlocks shouldnt be allowed in single player nor should there be a trading program because part of playing on a ranked server is to unlock the extra weapons, its a bonus for playing on ranked servers. and this trading thing is kinda stupid cos anyone can just say "i hate this gun i think ill trade it" "now i hate this gun ill trade it again"

i dont think there should be a trading program but i do think there should be a way to test out the guns many times i have been runing around and picked a gun of a body and was like why dont i have this then i rememberi unlocked the medic upgrade and i kick my self every day for that
