Secret Weapon?

Someone posted this on Fed forums and i never seen this B4 anyone know whats up with this??
Doing some looking through my bf2 flies i found something interesting. A file that was named ussni_m82a1. Did some editing... and found this... Why would such a good gun not be fully included in the game?

M82, thats a smaller version of the barret ~I think, but as they have the M85 there is no need for the M82

if you ask me, they should take out the m95 out as an unlock and replace it with an m85. 10 rounds semi automatic sniper firing 50cals would be nice. just make it have huge recoil like it does in AA.

yeah there are alot of things in the BF2 folder that arnt in the game that should be

AA doenst have the M85 its the M82A1 Barret and BF2 doesnt have the M85 either its the M95, just to let you know

I posted about this a bery long time ago, but I guess not a lot of people read that thread....

That folder has pictures of all of the weapons, that's how I have a picture of PKM in my sig...

There is also that Laser Paint thing...in the folder

Ok, the M82 was made before the M95, 10 round clips, 50 cal ammo, and semi auto operation. M90/95 was made for people who wanted bolt action on it instead of semi. In real life, the M95 is as is if not more accurate than the M24. And the M82 woulda overpowered things, the accuracy of the SVD (not that bad, same as M95 as is now), semi auto as of SVD, and same capacity mags as SVD, with the power of the M24, and more, cause it can penetrate glass, and ignore body armor. SO that would way overpower things. It was just like the grenade laungher that was to be for AT, then they replaced it with the Protecta shotty, aka DAO-12.

Ive tryed emailing EA games to ask about it. They deny it even being there. The guys keeps trying to tell me that its the same gun. He tells me that when I put the M82A1 in the game, it is mixing the textures with the M95. Thats what it is. We all know that hes full of s***. Here is the emails we exchanged. (read from bottom up)

Customer09/25/2005 05:18 PMWell, I don't see how they are the same because I did some editing and found that they are NOT the same. Ill show you a picture of it to proove it. The M95 is ALMOST the same as the M95. The M95 is a bullpup design(The clip is loaded behing the trigger). The M82A1 has a magazine that loads in front of the trigger. So did they just not include it?

The M82A1 is indeed the same rifle as the M95, it is just a different name for it. I am sorry for any confusion this may have caused.

Customer09/23/2005 09:10 PMWell, first off I would like to inform you that the M82A1 is NOT the unlock for the sniper. The unlock is the M95 Barret. I also did not find a picture of it when i click on it in the game, I found it in the BF2 game folder(C:\Program Files\EA Games\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\Objects\Weapons\Handheld\USSNI_M82A1).I did some editing for my mod, and I put the M82A1 in the sniper kit and found it to be a whole different gun. They only had half the animations complete. For example, when you zoomed in there was not scope, and when you tryed to shoot it, Battlefield 2 would crash. Do you have anyone there that might know any detailed information about this nice weapon that IS NOT currently in the game?

The M82A1 is the unlock for snipers and you probably just clicked down on the arrow to view it. If there is anything else I can do for you please let me know.

Customer09/20/2005 06:43 PMI see that there is an M82A1 gun in my weapons folder. There is all sorts of anamations and stuff for it too. Is that a gun that you guys are woring on to release? Why is it there. Is it an unlock? please, give me some more info on this weapon.
