I unlocked the G-3 but it's not there when I play assault

I unlocked the G-3 a while ago when I was playing assault more than anything. I then moved on to other kits, mostly spec ops. I just now remembered to go back and try my unlock. I chose assault on the US forces. The gun was standard m-16. Why wasn't my G-3 available, and how do I get it to work?

You need to click the flashing arrow on the kit selection screen. It'll switch between the standard assault and the G3.
