Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
I had the same problem, after my PSU died on me in mid game (Multiplayer). Navigate to your folder in "My Documents/Battlefield 2/Profiles/000X" where X = the number associated with the Profile you are using. Open the 'Controls.con' file in that folder, using Notepad. If it is 'blank', or missing some lines (as mine was after the PSU failure), just drag and drop a 'copy' of the Controls.con file from your '0001' or 'default' player Profile, into the folder for the Profile you are attempting to fix. (You can always 'edit' your Controls again from the in-game Options menu later, to restore them to where they were.) This worked for me, good luck! :)
After reading this post, I thought something might be intefering with the way the game was talking to remote server.
I uninstalled, and reinstalled everything else... And it seems that others are having this problem (without installing any other software that might be creating conflicts).
Thanks Greystreak, will try your solution. Fingers crossed.

Hi Greystreak,
I am having the same trouble as 'migumbo' after a blue screen crash.
After opening my profiles folder, as you direct, i only have '0001' and 'default' folders.
The 'Controls.con' file in the 0001 folder is 'blank'. I cannot find a copy of the 'Controls.con' file anywhere..........
Any help is greatly apreciated, i cannot even start a single player game....
Many thanks,
Steve.
For mouse freezing, most will find that updating their motherboard chipset drivers solves this issue under Windows XP. A clean install of the mouse drivers never hurts either.
Mouse and keyboard quit working when you load a map? Stuck at Spaw selection?
This is easy to fix...just open up BF2, before you load the map go to "options" an then "controls" and make sure all the keyboard/mouse entries aren't blank... if they are just hit the default button and they will all come back..
Reinstall wont fix it because these settings are stored in the registry.
let me know if this is the problem.

Arcus,
Many thanks mate.
All my key command boxes were empty, hitting default has restored them.
Nice one - you get your case of beer for that one....
Thanks again, i am back in business.
Steve.
I copied "controls" from 001 profile to 002 profile (which is what I use online). It was blank and now it's full of useful information which you obviously need to play the game.
Someone should send to developers. Definitely something that needs patching... it's happened again, and I've had to fix it again. I'm not sure what triggers the behaviour.
Good news, migumbo. You may need to do as Arcus suggests (above), and go into the in-game 'Options' menu for Controls, check for 'blank' entries and "Reset to Default" (don't forget to 'Apply' to save settings), to achieve a more 'permanent' fix.
In my limited experience, the behaviour seems to be 'triggered' by game 'interruption' events, such as: 1) connectivity - "There Is a Problem With Your Connection" (while in Multiplayer on-line); 2) other applications/warnings - (e.g., Norton, MSN, X-fire, or other IM software); or 3) a 'hard' power-down due to PSU failure. BF2 appears not to have been 'quality assurance' tested in this area.
