    BlackHawk Repair Issues

Hi everyone, I ran a search to see if this has been discussed before but I didn't find anything:

Lately, I've been playing a lot as an engineer in a BlackHawk and I've been experiencing problems repairing. I've tried it in different seating positions, on the roof, the floor, it just won't repair 75% of the time. Is this a bug? Has anyone else experienced this?

Yea, there are times it just doesn't work or it works but you don't hear the repair sound. You just gotta deal with it until the patch comes out where they'll most likely take out repairing altogether.

yeah, it is a bug. Actually you are supposed to be unable to repair your flying tank 100% of the time.

You can 1) go in F10 view and look at the floor or
              2) look at the roof and move it around along the roof.

I play engi lots and do a lot of repairing on BHs and have found ways to avoid that 80% of the time.:)

you should be support if your on the guns, because they have body armour and its easy to get sniped. the pilot should be a medic and squad leader, at least 1 support on a gun, other gun can be anything with body armour, and 3 engineers

Sometimes your "crosshair" won't change, and you won't see the animation or hear a sound, but it's repairing anyways. Just hold down your mouse button and watch the vehicle health.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Interesting find tonight, I noticed even though the repair ring didn't pop-up I was still repairing the chopper.
Hopefully this and alot of other things will be addressed in the 3rd patch.

Sometimes it's only another guy and myself on the BlackHawk so I have to pull triple-shift (repairs, left and right gunner). If we have a full compliment onboard I'll be a Medic. But yes, you're right, it's vital to have all the kits on board!

                      Re: BlackHawk Repair Issues

here's how you effectively repair 100% of the time:

                      1. sit on any of the back seats
                      2. pull out your wrench
                      3. look up
                      4. hit f10

                      kinda like this:

the beauty of this is that:

                      a. you'll repair everytime (remember that sometimes, you'll repair even though it's not making any sound)
                      b. you may even become a better pilot by watching others fly and learning from them
                      c. you won't get bored looking at the floor/ceiling 'cos you'll be watching the whole thing!

                        Re: BlackHawk Repair Issues

if there's another engineer on board and they use the wrench first i think that keeps your wrench from helping. not sure on that, though.
