We were hacked. Several times over the past two weeks, in fact.
While all passwords are encrypted and salted, it's recommended that you change your password here when you can.
When i go to connect to the account server, i hit login and it displays the message:
"The uniquenick provided is incorrect"
its never done this before, can anyone help me please.
Having the same problem at the moment (8600 points!!).
I've had a couple of useless replies from EA Support and no joy yet but I'm still trying. I'm sure that this is a problem with their server, not on our machines. I've re-installed BF2 with no effect. Will post again if anything useful happens. Please post if you find an answer.
Just found out what happened. Read in another thread that Fileplanet tells you when you have several accounts against the same email and puts a Delete button next to each. Once this is pressed, there is no confirmation or warning about the consequences and, if you hadn't already guessed, one of them is your BF2 account. This is what happened to me, have you deleted an account from Fileplanet/Gamespy?
I've asked EA to restore the account from before the deletion, but I don't hold out any real hope
Hmm..I didn't think you could actually delete your BF2 player account. People had been trying to do so since Day 1 as a means of changing their player name and have been wholly unsuccessful.
Only real way to be sure is to make a new one, play for half hour to get some stats registered then remove it via the website.
Once that's done see if they can log in.
