    Server Filters

Whats up the server filtering in bf2? I try to make it so that empty/full games dont come up, but they seem to be the only ones on the server list. And when i click "Apply Filters" every server is gone and I can't get them back with out exiting and re-entering the game... You would figure EA could atleast get a small task done right, but i guess thats asking too much... :hmm:

If you have too many filters active, it won't show any servers at all, like if you select all three map sizes. At least that's what happens for me anyway.

        Well you're dumb.

I get the exact same problem. The only settings that work in the Filters (that I've tried) is the "Ranked Only" thing. Not even the "Same Version Only" one works. I constantly find modded servers popping up highlighted in Red, meaning a different version.

You're one of those clueless types, aren't ya? :p The server browser is extremely buggy, and hundreds and hundreds people across this and other forums have complained about it since the release. If you haven't had any problems, then it's because, again, you are clueless and are the type that never changes the "default" settings for fear of breaking something.

not but you shouldnt just blame EA because of your one problem. it was fixed in 1.02 so unless you havent updated it should work fine for you cos it does for me. or maybe its your pc

Who hasn't updated to 1.02?!? And we blame EA (as opposed to the developer, DICE) becasue they were the ones in charge of QA. Last, okay, Einstein, please enlighten us how the server browser's bugginess can have anything to do with hardware.

Here's a small example/test. Type "24/7" (no quotes) into the server name filter edit box and then hit Enter. You'll get an empty list server list. Fine. Now without restarting the game, try to get the server list back, and if you do, tell us step by step what you did.

Actually 24/7 works for me, but I do get an empty list if (like I said) I use too many filters.

Post a screenshot, please, with "24/7" in the Server Name box so we can see it truly working. (Maybe you are not checking some box that the rest of us are.)

                    Here's my results:

And the thing is that after doing that, the only way to get back a populated server list is to exit the program and restart. :hmm:

                      Here you go

                      :)

I know for sure that if you have "too many" filters active, it will show an empty list. I cannot select all three map sizes for example. And I just tried something else, I cannot have 24/7 in the server name box and also have a ping limit: I tried 24/7 and 300 ms ping limit and it showed up empty.

                        Re: Server Filters

It's not when you have too many filters selected that you get no servers listed, but rather, you must have an even or odd number of filters in effect. I forget which one, but try this: when it won't show you any servers, add another one by typing something in one of the boxes like ping < 400. Then it will query and show you servers.

Wow I never knew that too many filters cause your server list to get messed. I always thought it was because their was a ridiculous ammount of servers to load.
And, Super Six Three, what are you talking about?
