Way to get around work internet blocks?

I'm at work right now. My job is set up so that on Friday nights when I work the overnight I have TONS of downtime. I bring in my computer and mess around in SP games because I can only surf the internet and use MSN messenger. All other programs can't get access to the internet.

My question is this...is there a program I can download to open up access to these other programs (such as Trillian, BF2 and other games maybe)?

Give us more info on the setup there.
If it is a modem + router unplug the router and plug your comp strait into the modem.

I wish I knew. I just know that I'm hooked into the internet at work and I need a username and pass to access it. They're running websense which I can get around with proxy sites...but is there a way to test what kind of blocks they have (as to why I can't start up BF2 online or connect to Battle.net)?

It's more than just a router or anything simple like that. The whole building is wired with this internet and I can't really get access to the servers....well I can, but I'm not comfortable with messing with the cords in there.
