Just bought and installed BF2...

but as soon as i click on something, the loading window shows up and thats it It like freezes up but the music never stops playing, its like its frozen. I have to force quit it everytime!?!

I am on my new comp:

3.0 ghz pentium D
256mb x850XT PE
1gig ram

game version 1.024xxxxx... are there any patches?

There is a Patch 1.02, it will be displayed as 1.1.2484 in menu.

If you have a firewall, make sure to allow bf2.exe access.
