Can't seem to get 5 repair points in one round. Any tips?

I have been trying for the repair badge you get when you get 5 repair points in one round. Sheesh, that's one hard badge to get. I try everything. Usually if I repair artillery/uav I get a repair point but that doesn't happen 5 times a round. I can take some major damage to my vehicle, pull over to repair it, but never get the point. Why?

And most people in the game that need repairs, just like when they need health, they just go nonstop not allowing you to help them. It's really insane and hard to get those pesky repair points. Even in a chopper that's whoring I can't seem to get them.

Any tips would be appreciated.

Chopper whore some more. I got mine there. Or, if you find someone in mobile AA, hop in. You can repair it while its on the move. Don't let the b*tards run away from your help :)

Find 2 boats, drive them out somewhere and start machinegunning them... jump out, get in the F3 position and wrench away, you can get it in about 2 minutes.

It's ridiculous how difficult it is to get repair points in this game... repairing an FAV to full health will get you 1 point and so will repairing a tank... the difference is the tank takes forever to get down to low health and takes about 30 seconds to repair to full health.

Find 2 boats, drive them out somewhere and start machinegunning them... jump out, get in the F3 position and wrench away, you can get it in about 2 minutes.

How are you going to get the points when there is no one in the boat except you? Don't you need someone in there with you?

Get in a blackhawk with a bunch of people on Songhua Stalemate. Sit in the back so you can repair as the BH takes fire. This will easily get you 5 repair points in one round. I got mine this way .

You mean like that linebacker thing? I didn't even know I could hop in. I thought it was a one man thing. Also, I hate being exposed because even though you can duck with the left cntrl key I always end up dead when I'm the gunner on a tank for instance. Anyway, thanks for the tip.

As for the boat trick, I'll give that a try. Sounds the easiest.

Fusion you get the points because you're the one in the boat, you have to repair from inside otherwise it doesn't count... but as long as the vehicle is occupied, even if it's by you, you'll get points.

Are you sure you don't get repair points if a vehicle is unoccupied?

I've seen smacktards purposefully roll a jeep and then sit there repairing it, reaping in the points.

100% sure, they aren't getting any points at all. It'd be nice if you did get points for repairing a vehicle that did have people in... say 2-3 minutes after they get out, it would mean my Engineer account would actually be able to get points for repairing the armor that I use.

Oh so THAT'S why this was so difficult for me.

I kept going around with a tank beating people up. When I got a bit hurt, I would flee and repair myself and it would NEVER work.

The time I got my badge was when my squad had an APC and a tank and 6 people. I would do the same thing with the tank, but I always had a gunner and so when I would jump out and repair it, there was someone in it so I would get the point. . .and also I got points from fixing the other APC next to me.

heh.. I've repaired a fair share of empty rides.. I usually got a wrench anyway and it beats having to drive past an enemy stronghold in a smoking desert buggy :p
