ok all of my requirements match i have these specs

Amd Athlon Xp 2800+ 2.08 ghz
1.00 gb of ddrram
Sapphire Radeon 9800 pro atlantic 256 MB video card
333mgz fsb

but when i try to join server i get half way through and BF2 closes and im at my desktop again. i have to patch downloaded i have comcast cable internet but i dont know what the heck is going on i even put all my settings to low and it still did it. plz someone reply with help!!! thanks

Try running single player... if it works in single player it's probably your network. Check, router, dslreports etc, has it worked before be more specific when you ask a desperate question for better answers,

Try turning off your firewall.

i totally agree with that mine does that if i dont turn it off!!!
