    Import to 3ds Max

I have been looking for a way to import models into 3ds max. I want to import the Dam to 3ds max so I can add some things to it and make it a finished dam rather then a 1/2 finished one, then I can place it in my map. Anyone have any idea if it is possible to import/export all the pieces?
Here is a list of what I need brought into 3ds Max:
    dam_bottom
    dam_left
    dam_right
    dam_ironbridge_part1
    dam_ironbridge_part2
    dam_ironbridge_part3

Please let me know if you know of a site or topic where someone explained how to import and export these models and which ones I should be looking at into 3ds Max 7 and back to the bf2 editor or some other 3d program so I can try to complete this dam so it will look right. :) THX

Ok, now anyone know of a tutorial on what I will have to import to edit the Dam? Maybe a Battlefield 1972 tutorial will do the same...?

I am currently attending school for 3d modeling and animation so I am a begginer but yes I am on my 2nd semester and know the basics and a bit more. :) Any info that anyone could give would help me out, always looking to learn new things.

              Re: Import to 3ds Max

I have found these file types when I do a search in windows for dam in BF2, they are located in zip files under "your installed directory"/mods/bf2:
              .con
              .tweak
              .collisionmesh
              .staticmesh
              .samp_01
              .samp_02
              .samp_03
              .samples

That 3ds Max plug in above only puts a tool in 3ds for:
              BF2 Exporter
              BF2 Utilities
              BF2 Lightmapping
              BF2 Batch Export
There is no import of any of the above file formats...I posted this on my schools forum, maybe someone there will know how to do it, if so I will post the answer here just in case someone is interseted.

This blows...This is what I got:

                bf2

I'm currently making a mod for BF2, and unfortunately, you cannot edit their models! In fact, if you do just a map, you cannot use your own models, just theirs. You would have to do a mod like I am. However, Caution! The game itself is revealing itself as a real problem with getting on the servers, and EA seems to not have a clue how to fix. Check out Planet Battlefield forums on tech issues. There is major issues going on as you will see. Like so many that have posted there, I now can't even get to the server screeen because it keeps crashing back to the desktop after the initial EA screen. Until about 3 days ago, I played just fine, though I had to run the settings on at most medium.
I have emailed EA support, but I'm not holding my breath! As it stands, BF2 is turning out to be a real piece of crap. Sorry but thats the reality of it!
