There is no way that they will release it for the mac right now especially with the eminent switch to intel chips by apple. Once they make the switch there will be more games coming out for the mac.

Just my 2 cents.

All the other battlefields are out for mac. The intel switch is a year off at least if they even keep to schedule and even after that, its going to be gradual, they dont want to upset the userbase they already have..

plus, its probably gonna take a similar amount of programming even with the switch to intel as they need to make OS calls which would the same for OSX intel or PPC.

remember, games are written for windows and directX, not intel specifically.

Either way, its probably coming but not for a while. Just think, once the switch is made to Intel chips you won't need to wait for mac ports - because if you're smart you'll just run a dual boot system. Keep a hard-drive for Windows and a hard-drive for OS X, I know that's what I'll be doing. I'll probably pick up an Intel PowerMac not long after they make the change, to replace my widdle PowerBook G4 :)
