I was just playing on the Mashtuur city level and was running around by the central control point, the mosque looking thing with the big towers (top left picture in the total BF2 logo) and an enemy black hawk was whirring high above. A guy bailed out a somehow managed to chute into the top of one of the towers!! then went on the snipe loads of people! couldn't shoot him as the walls covered him he just dominated! anyone else seen or done this?!

Yeah seems alright as he not hiding in walls or anything just using the terrain, but I bet it's quite hard to get a spot on landing on that thing.

its a once in a lifetime thing i doubt it will happen again. its a very small spot to land and the chutes move you forward so you'd somehow have to guide yourself onto it, if i saw someone up there id congratulate them

It's fair alright...I guess a tank would be able to flush him out. If a tank can't get him/her, then I guess a blackhawk gunner with an itchy trigger finger would do just fine.

Personally I think there aren't enough spots like this in every map. NO I don't play sniper that often.

Well its good for him if he managed to get there. But id like to see him try that again. Anyway, its a pointless affair, he can't camp for long as he will run out of ammo.

Not defined as any wrong doing, i.e. going underneath map etc. Tbh if he managed to land on that mosque it must of been due to pure luck. That mosque is pretty hard to land on considering its shape, usually you tend to fall off it.

If he can snipe you - then you can snipe him. Just switch to sniper and get an angle that he is not expecting. If you are subtle about rounding a corner to get the shot - it can be done.

Spawning in the middle of the square and going prone trying to get a shot off - you will not live - lol.

I have used this tactic - sometimes have to deal with a bad spawn and get shot again, or have to run way the hell out of the way....but my oh my is it a rewarding kill!!

Best way to defeat this is with grenades, just lug one up top.

I've actually done this myself with a spec ops and protected the centre flag all game. You can get sniped from the other side quite easily if you are not looking out ... also the alternate spawn point for the centre CP is on top of the roof accross the way which you can also 203-gp30 the person quite easily (as the rear part of the roof is a dome which you can't walk up so the splash damage usually is funneled quite easily.

It's a good spot if you can get there.

exactly -- main reason i dont play sniper -- run out of ammo and your commander and support guys are morons
