yeah the vet badges are ridiculously hard to get, let alone the expert badges! who honestly has the time to play for 10 days! only using one kit!!! i think maybe EA/Dice have made them a little too hard to get. Have you seen how hard it's going to be to get something like the Navy Cross it's something stupid like 5000 hours!!

Heh, I don't understand why the Veteran Aviator Badge requires 500 hours of flying when other veteran badges such as armor and helicopter requires 100 hours of playtime.

Because they completely ****ed up the requirements that's why. Look at the engineer badges for example, veteran combat engineer is 250H and a few kills in a round but the veteran engineer badge is 500H and 15 repair points in one round. They can't even keep it consistent, every veteran badge should have at least been set to 250H if not less.

I agree. The veteran requirements are insane. I'm working to finish out the Basic ones and then I'm going to stop trying and just let the other ones happen. I only need pistol, aviator, and commander. Pistol is a bitch for me and the other two, well I rarely fly and command.

As far as explosives is concerned, this one was hard for me although I play Special Ops almost exclusively. I would come so close over and over again, but never get it. I finally got it on Karkand by 1) setting traps at the choke points in the fences near the right side American flag 2) falling back to the hotel or suburbs, plant C4 over the entire flag area then waiting until it turned, and 3) C4ing the river where the vehicles drive through.

I found the key was to anticipate the next flag that will fall -- watch the UAV and you can get a good idea of where the enemy is heading next -- and just lay traps for them. Also, don't immediately blow the C4 when the enemy shows up. Wait for the flag to turn white, then wait a few seconds longer, then blow it. If other bad guys are around, they'll always rush in to get the capture points. I've gotten as many as 9 kills by doing this. Then simply rush in and return the flag.

i might have thought of a decent way to get the explosives badge, does it have to be in one kit? if not surely you could mine as engineer busy enemy roads, claymore as sniper enemy cp's and then c4 everthig else as spec op's? would that work?

Yes, you can use mines and the claymore to get it.

I have the knife badge but am having trouble with the explosives badge. I'm not a real big specs. ops player.

to get the knife badge IMO you have to specifically go for it. all the others you can get it by playing the game as it's meant to be played but not the knife badge - that requires throwing tactics and teamplay out the window which simply doesn't appeal to me.

Rather set the goal to be total knife kills, such as 50, 250 and 1000 - at least then they can be acheived in normal play when a knife kill presents itself as the best option of attack, such as killing unwary snipers.

Explosives is just impossible !

Explosives: Try to just catch v4 on every enemy you see, and blow them up!
dont use any other weappon, and dont mind your deaths (Just look at mine!)
but yes, its HARD!

No [b]badges[b] are hard to get, only 1 ribbon is hard, and all medals are tough as hell.
