HELP!! cant reset monitor resolution?

Hi all i have just been forced to use a crappy old crt which cant go any higher than 1024x768 and now everytime i try to load bf2 the screen goes balck because the monitor cant support my old resolution can someome please tell me how to change this from outside the game???

Edit the video.con file via the system shell using notepad.

hmm ok tried that but it still shows no pics this is a after a reinstall

try changing it with the shortcut to battlefield change it to:
"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +szx 1024 +szy 768

This assumes your path to the game is "C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" just leave your path at whatever it already is, the important part is whats after the path.

To get to where you can change this right click the shortcut and choose properties, go to the shortcut tab, and what you want to change is in the target box.
