simple solution is to add a limit to how many times a player can apply/reapply as commander during a round, say 3 limit? Idea for the new patch?

another thing i have found that is good in some cases but sucks in others, is that if your team wins and your commander you only get the points you accumalated as commander
|||good reason-is that it stops people from doing that and getting double the points for exploits||||the bad reason is only when you are lucky enough to see this, lol- is when you got alot of points and there is no commander and you apply and get it at the end but your score stays the same, lol

At least people pad on their own servers without screwing everyone else out of medals and points on legit servers. Even if you don't care about scores think of it this way, how much freakin commanding is this guy doing if he just dropping arty, resigning and then reapplying? He's not dropping supplies, he's not commanding squads, he's not scanning, he's just dropping his artillery to wrack up his lame little exploit points. Some idiot does this on a 64 player server and he's screwing an entire 32 people out of a win because they don't have a commander 50% of the round.

I find it amazing how much everyone whines about padders and then pretend crap like this isn't an exploit.

Thats not very fair really if someones been commander all through the game for example, then you Mutiny against them when your team is winning and become commander then get double points. Kinda lame

Only the points you get while commander are doubled. The rest are treated normally.

You get 2 global points per kill with this technique, whereas normal artillery kills just count as kills with the kill you're holding without giving you global points. The best way to counter this exploit is to start a MUTINY when the exploiter is commander, he will eventually resign like an ass to get the artillery kills, but when he resigns he gets a 5 ban minute from reapplying for COM when there's a mutiny vote active. Simple and very effective.

yeah, that's the only way to stop it. you don't even have to get a lot of votes. just the fact that you started a mutiny and then he resigned to the the arty exploit, he won't be able to apply as commander for at least the next 5 minutes. by then, somebody else would've taken the commander seat.

I think they're mostly afraid to lose.. if they com to win and do their jobs, and the soldiers do theirs, the CO gets a bonus anyway.. god knows my best scores where as CO and that's not even trying to get a high score, just to be efficient..
