    An odd multiplayer problem

    Hi peeps,

So I'm playing multiplayer and it seems like I'm rubberbanding back and forth a little bit.

I.e. I keep walking in a straight line and often I get "clipped back" to an earlier point. Its pretty annoying -.- especially since my ping is pretty low.

I'm pretty sure my system can handle the game (it does just fine in SP), but I'm wondering if there is a problem using a wireless connection to play the game? I'm wirlessely connecting to a cable router a floor below me... I've never had a problem with this before.

Anyone else seen this frequent rubber banding effect?

It's called lag. But yeh you are dropping packets. Try this.
Go to dos prompt. Type ping (the ip of the wireless router) -t. Leave that going for about 10 mins or more. Then press CTRL-C a few times to cancel it. In the box that says X% loss, if it says zero. That means you have no problems there. Then try doing the same buy with an IP or website on the internet. For example your ISP webpage. If you get loss there. Then there is a problem your internet connection. Have you tried lots of different servers? Join a handful of servers with the lowest pings you can find.
