After starting my mod I can't get any heavy units to be white and no light armors to be black. I want to know how to change the skin color option. It looks really bad having a mod where all heavy armor are all black and all light armors are white. I don't care though.

I am finally starting to mess with .cons and things look good.

how do u make the spec ops guy latin?

you give them a bennie instead of a helmet and instead of C4 a handheld radio that gets RAD music.

If you change the skin of model of the Sniper would it not be easer to kill one. Which is cheeting which is bad...

when I go to save the kit it wont let me. So i saved it somehwere else as the same name but it doesn't say .con anymore ... why?

1 more thing... when i save this to my mod i save it in MyMod\objects\kits\us right?

I can't get this to work. Where can I save the file (Snipers new modifed .con file) for MY MOD not a modified bf2 folder...

the us engineer is kit 2, the mec engineer is kit 3, the chinese is kit 5

all the information you need is in the con files under the Kits-folder

A .con file is nothing else then an regular Ascii-txt-file, some kind of source code file.

You can edit it with a various set of sourcecode or ascii code editors such as the well known windows notepad or maybe wordpad , there are a lot other editors out there.

I prefer jedit from www.jedit.org , its the best source code editor i know, for any kind of scripting language. But thats only secondary. With notepad you are fine.

You have to handle the.con and .tweak files as normal textfiles ,then there should be no problem to get your changes to work in the game.

Either you edit your files directly from the original .zip (the original files are set read only , so you have to extract them and set writable before you can edit them) files or you extract the files you want to tweak, to some special location on your system , edit them there and copy them into the original .zip file.

The best way is to create an custom mod , there are alot of forum-threads about this theme.
