Helicopter Service Ribbon

I've been trying to work towards this ribbon but have a question. The requirements say 15 minutes in a helicopter (which I have) and 19 kills in a helicopter (which I thought I had). Is that 19 kills only as the pilot of a helicopter or do kills as the gunner count as well?
Also it isn't 19 kills in a single round is it?

Thanks in advance to whomever can answer my two questions.

15 minutes and 19 kills in 1 round.

Find a good pilot and be a gunner, is best advice for it.

19 kills in 1 round... and you have to make the kill so if you are pilot, you have to shoot with the missles, or be a gunner in a BH or Apache and rack up the kills

yes - but even there - it does not say kills needed in "1 round", as it does for example, knife.pistol

As mentioned above you need to be in a helicopter for 15min. and you need to get 19 kills. Both in one and the same round.

I guess it's not important whether you're the pilot or gunner. I got my ribbon as a gunner.

It's a lot of fun getting it when you've got a good pilot! :)

I got my the other day. Thanks to a great pilot. A pilot who knows how a gunner should play is the key. Mellow speed, no jerks, smooth flying. Wot a dream. Take out all TOWs and stuff first and your pilot will love you.
When you can kill stuff with the guided TV numbers, then you know you got a cool pilot. And your ribbon

Does it have to be 15 consecutive minutes, i.e. without getting shot down, or is it just 15 minutes in total?

I guess the same question holds for the aviator ribbon too.

I got my aerial service ribbon on Op Clean Sweep. If my memory serves me correctly I was shot down twice so I dont think its consecutive minutes, just in total throughout the round.

do you get exactly 19 kills?, i didnt get mine till i had 20 kills

I got mine a while ago, but I realised a few days ago, the gunning position in the chopper, particularly the missiles were not as **** as I perceived. I killed a chopper 4 times and got 4 armour kills using missiles alone, shows what a competant pilot can do for teh gunner.

i got mine ages ago but never be the guner i have taken to many nose dives and hit to many trees and walls and buildings with people that cant fly.......long live the blackhawk!!!
