BF2 Freezing.

Hi yeah I've had BF2 since it's release her is Aus. I bought it when I had my old computer and had no issues. When I built this computer I had no issues.

But suddenly for some reason BF2 keeps freezing when I am about half an hour into it. Not just the game, but it makes my whole system lock up and I have to reset.

It always seems to happen when I fire a gun and the sound locks and repeats.


My system specs are in my sig, except the fact that I have integrated 5.1 AC'97 audio, I run everything on high with 4xAA.
Could it be the sound?

Try setting to software acceleration and soud detail to low & EAX off. See if that works.

Thanks buddy, I will give that a shot. I will include also that I updated the audio drivers because before the sound was terribly glitchy.

IMO I would lose the onboard as soon as possible.

No worries, I can get my hands on a SB Audigy 2 for about $50AuD.
