I never modified why can't I go to ranked servers?

Every time I try to join a ranked server it says i need a unmodified version of BF2 and that i need to revert back to an original version. I have only had the game 3 weeks and i haven't modded or anything like that , that i know of. What can I do?

reinstall then patch it up

Like Super Six Said...patch it up and it will work. No need to re-install.

i got this also then i reinstalled and patched up and boom same message its gay can som 1 plz help me

have you installed any mods?
if so uninstall em - one of them messed mine up - had to reinstall

Do a virus/spyware scan. I know someone who had this error and it was because his files had been corrupted. I dont think you have the same problem but theres no harm in checking.

i got the same problem but i have installed a mod and i cant play it, pls help
