Here's a clarification on how the total scores in your stats work.
First thing: Global Score is not the sum of your total Teamwork and Combat scores. It doesn't quite work that way, unless you've never been commander. I did a little test to figure out how the Global, Teamwork, Combat, and Commander totals are calculated. Going into a game I had these stats:
Global 8775
Teamwork 2940
Combat 5780
Commander 2333
I played a short game and got 9 points, 3 teamwork points and 6 combat (from 3 kills). Afterwards (I waited for the stats update), I had
Global 8784
Teamwork 2943
Combat 5786
Commander 2333
So pretty obvious, teamwork and combat points just got added to the total Teamwork and Combat Scores. Then I played a game as Commander. I got 21 Commander points. Commander points, BTW, are basically the average of your teammates' earned points (no TKs); you can only gain Commander points when teammates gain points. I also got -5 teamwork points (some team kill/damage), and 14 kills. Had I not TK/damaged, I would have had 26 points. After that game, my stats were
Global 8805
Teamwork 2943
Combat 5814
Commander 2359
So my Global Score went up by 21 points, as expected. My Teamwork Score didn't change; I guess you can't lose points, either anytime or maybe just as commander. However, my Combat score went up as well, by 28 points, which corresponds to the 14 kills. Even though those kills didn't increase my Global Score, because it didn't give me any Commander points, it did increase my total Combat Score. So if you get kills as Commander, you won't gain rank any faster, but you will increase your Combat Score, for bragging rights. Finally, my total Commander Score went up by 26, not 21. For the total Commander Score, it looks like TKs don't matter.
So, to summarize:
- Global Score always goes up by your final round score.
- Teamwork score goes up with teamwork points.
- Combat score goes up with kills (2 pts per kill), even artillery kills.
- Commander score goes up by Commander points, not including subtractions from TKs.
- The Global score is not a sum of any of the other scores, although if you've never commanded, your Global score will be the same as total Teamwork plus total Combat.
