One shot kill on USMC attack helos.

So after alot of practise on unranked servers with the helos, i decided to take it to the ranked. At this point, i had something like 60 kills and 75 deaths in the heli (quite alot gunning too). After, i had something like 114 - 94, which i was surpised about too lol... anyways..

I managed to avoid just about all off the AA missiles and didn't get shot down by the places that were constantly circling, took out many tanks / apcs and stuff. Though the one thing that was quite annoying, is that a few guys in a tank seemed to always take me out in one shot (on full health) if he saw me before i saw him, which i thought was quite odd. Every time he fired, and if it hit, it blew the heli up instantly. Never before this have i found that one shot to the heli blows it up, usually it leaves me on about 4/5 bars, enough to get me to saftey and repair usually. Even ive shot at the USMC heli with a tank, hit directly and never blew it up. I'm not accusing of hacking / cheating like most people would, simply because there could be a way to do it, and they were good at it, which comes to a question - is this actaully possible? I think it would, but just want to make sure.

hmmm i have personaly shot one down in one hit, No idea if it was full health.

IMHO any flying craft (including the BH) of any kind should be dead from a direct hit from a tank.

I have killed many a cobra with a tank, and I have been killed in one as well. This is not a cheat or a bug - it happens.

My question is - why were you giving the tank an opportunity to kill you with the one shot? My first instinct around tanks/apc's is to get some altitude out of range of their weaps and let my gunner take them out. If he misses, I drop and let them try to fire a shot off, then I finish them off with my rockets on a strafe type run after they fire a missle or tank shot at me. That way I get them while they are reloading and they don't shoot me in mid run.

I took out my buddies helo last night with one shot from a M1A2. I have seen it happen to me alot.

Well, their is a 1 hit kill on the US helos.. So maybe he hit that

i had no gunner so i could'nt let them fire, most guners i have miss any way lol.

ah well i got my answer anyways.

also,, the mec heli seems stronger?... had a few hits from a tank but didnt blow me up.

maybe it shot u in the wheel..and htats usually a one shot kill...but it seems too hard to do that with a tank

sry .. i forgot that us attack helos dont have wheels, but i was talking earlier with a friend that a rocket or somethign hitting the wheel or skiis on the heli makes it deal twice the damamge cuz its sortof hitting hte heli twice..it hits/goes through the wheels or skiis and then hits the heli again...so two rockets and ur a goner

I don't know, maybe it was tow. not a tank.

Maybe the tank shot you while the gunner on the tank was machine gunning u, together they took u out

ive shot down a couple of heil before but i dont know if they where at full health are not,i usally start shooting with the machine gun which does some damage then when i get a good enough shot i fire the tank cannon

Definatly no gunner, as it would of come up with the hit indicators. And when i did blow them up, only killed one person. And it was definatly a tank, as a saw it fire and ht me.

I might try it on a server on my own, see if i can find the one hit kill, but it amazed me that it was every time he shot me. Found it quite odd, that a hit of an AA viecle cant take it down straight a way, yet a tank can!

I took a cobra out one time with one T-90 shot.

I was in a China tank on Daquing in the little vally between the two right-most flags headed south (64-man map), and a cobra came in from the US main base and shot at me with rockets and went past me overhead. So, I spun the turret around and shot him just as he had turned around and was comming back over me for a second run.

He had the nose down, about 30 feet off the deck about 100 feet away, and my shell hit the roter. (I aimed just over the canopy.) Not the blades or canopy, but the rotor itself. Boom. One shot, on kill.

It was close enough, and I had enough time to line the shot up, that when it hit, it was very visible where it hit.

There's a chance a jet had hit him with MG and dropped him a few bars on the way from his base to that right flag, but he wasn't smoking, so definately had > 50%.
