Anyway to remove some HUD stuff?

Specifically what I am talking about is the chat chatter related to the Comma Rose... ie Need a medic, You'll live buddy now get back into the fight.. etc... All that junk gets in the way of regular chat messages that players are typing in. Im guessing there probably isnt but I thought Id ask anyway.

try adding this to your ....mods\bf2\settings\defaults.con file

Game.useHud 1

(Turns off the Heads Up Display (HUD) at loadup if set to 0. This is similar to the console command. Turning off the HUD improves performance but removes important information, so it's recommended you leave the HUD on.)

Im afraid you won't like it though because the aiming cursor is considered part of the hud.

I guess you could draw a cursor on your monitor, since it's static.

i haven't tried this, but it worked in bf42

you shouldnt turn off hud, and i dont kno how to get rid of the messages
but heres why u shouldnt get rid of hUd, it takes away everything...so u dont kno where u r spawning and ucant change where u r spawning, it makes it just so much harder than having those pesky messages in the way
