I doubt anyone is gonna believe this works about 90 percent of the time but i will be damned to tell you to try it anyways. This tip is for spec ops. Spec ops tend to run lone wolf and every once in a while they will be running down a road and notice a large vehicle coming towards them(Tank, APC, etc.). when hiding is out of the option and there is nowhere to run to, most people either run at the tank to try and c4 it(cant tell you how many times ive died like that:laugh: ) or they shoot at it like a noob and get punked by a shell. However, there is another way... It relies on your enemies pride and tends to be quite rewarding when it gets pulled off right. k....

-First you make contact with the tank and can hopefully react before he sees you.

-place two c4's in a neat bundle on the floor right in front of you.

-run so that the c4 is now on the road in between the tank and you and you are out of the blast radius.

-lay prone and face AWAY from the oncoming tank.

-If all goes well the "all to happy to run you over rather than waste ammo tank driver" will continue up the road to crush you under his tank.

-listen, your ears are your friends, when he gets close enough... detonate.

-teach another person not to be so careless with you .

And the tankdriver wouldn't notice a pile of C4 on the road ?

This could work only if the tankdriver is stupid enough to try to run you over,
Because of you facing away from him.

I can't say there would ever be a time I'd want to close with a spec ops when I was driving a tank. Machine gun him from a distance every time!

Though highlighting it as an "extra" tactic is worthwhile, I can only see it being as effective as the other two.

Actually, the tactic I find most effective when on foot and faced with a tank or APC is simply stop & drop. Like the t-rex, most vehicle drivers only latch on to movement

i know youd be skeptical but believe me, a neat bundle of c4 looks just like a rock to a tank driver whose sole concentration is on the guy he wants to run over.

anyway, just liked your Faces video, it's pretty nice

and for ur C4 tips I wont work with me, I have my settings on LOW so there's no shadow so the C4 are very visible, I can even see people who roadside C4ing

I can see where all of your sceptism is coming from people but believe me, its unreal how often a tank/APC driver will be all too focused on running you over to notice the C4 or to consider shooting you.

Hehe...I do that when I play Support and Engineer too!!!

As for the original post, you CAN have the tank roll over you and not killed you provided you're lined up with the tank.

Once, and only once, while being rolled over I placed 2x C4 on the underside of the tank. When it rolled away from me...BOOM...2x kills :)

Sorry buddy...I have to agree...this is a dumb idea...lay down in the street and hope for drive over??? I don't think so.

The time it takes you to put the c4 down in a neat pile and to turn around...you'd be better running at the tank... If he doesn't see you he might just drive away...if he does see you...You're dead...

Tank drivers are one thing and one thing only. PARANOID.

As a tank driver - I am always on the lookout for infantry getting close to me. The last thing I would do would be to try and run them over - especially if they drop a mine, c4 etc.

The fact is - I never see "rocks" in the road. Any black spot on the road only means trouble and I avoid them like the plague.

Nice theory - hope you test it against me in a tank. All I have to do is backup a foot ro two and plant a round near you - then I get to watch your body fly! Laying down gives me a better shot too - you are more still - better chance for me to hit you.

I doubt it will work.

But if you are a spec ops and you want to blow up the enemies assets, always get a buggy, place 2 c4 on the front and drive to the asset and them explode it, the reason to do this is:
A) because you are quick and stealthy
B) if you come a cross a tank, and you have no other way to go but to the tank, just drive near him, bail and explode, or if he shoots you near him you still blow him up to.

That's the exact same thing I thought when reading the post :)
Why would you want to face away from the tank?
The "if I can't see you you won't be able to see me" trick doesn't work this way

I personally still prefer to draw my pistol and prone infront of a tank. Not letting him know that I packed about 3 or 4 AT mines under my belly. Then start shooting at him just like in the movie "Saving Private Ryan", Greedy as most tankers are, he'll think that you're just another dumb cheap road kill... BOOOM
