empty/full servers

1. Why are bots not allowed in servers?
2. If bots were allowed could they be used for the min. player count?

I have played BF2 almost exclusivly on ranked servers and one thing I have noticed is that a server is full or empty with vary few in between. Once I was waiting on an empty server practicing in a jet, I did this for about an hour and then the game started. Then in a few minutes it was full.

So I had an idea, have nine bots in a server so as soon as a player joins game on. Then as new players join bots are removed (10 players no need for bots).

In unranked server bots would be great, and allow for bot AI editing by players even better.

this sounds like an excellent idea, I've had similiar experiecnces were the server would have a few of us and whhen the game strated people were join like there was no tomorrow

i think that is easier if the rounds starts with 2 player, but sending the stats when 10+ player on the server.( go in unranked mode if players less than 10)

Good concept but playing against bots would be point city. they could make those points not count or something because you're right the second you have ten players twenty more will join.. it would be nice if they just lowered the required amount of players to eight or six {not that this hasn't been said before}. Especially in the new patch if they are making ways to prevent point farming then there should be a reduced amount of players needed to start. we can only hope with EA at the helm though.
