New, Any help?

'Allo everyone, I'm new to this game/Forum. Baught yesterday, Fun Fun Fun! One question I have so far is, The way to get your stats recorded (IE: Kills and such) Is with the Ranked games only correct? And, If I try to join one of those, I get an error saying that I should exit and revert to the orrigional BF2 version ... I never changed the install with mods or anything ... Any help would be apprieciated ^_^ Thanks aheada time.

You have to update to version 1.02..have you done this yet?

O.o Um ... No I don't think that I have. Where would I go about doing this? There was no popup when I started the game saying : "You need to go update here" Or something.

Just go to the official website and d/l the patch, then start playing on ranked servers to get your ranking up, and get rewards etc...

Okey, found it ^-^ The v1.02 correct? I'll DL / Install when I get home, I'm still at work for another 3 hours ;_;. Thank's for the quick reply's everyone ^^

Yep once installed to 1.02, find any servers with "EA" and "Official" in them and play those servers. Your points will get added up until you gain a rank, so on until you can unlock weapons.
To check your progress, head to the "BFHQ" button at the top left of your server screen.
Best thing to do now is to get used to being in/leading a squad. A well run squad is the best asset in this game by far.
