Cant play because graphics are messed up

To start off i have duel 1.4 gig cpu which is 2.8 in total
i just bought and installed Asus Nvidia N6600
i have 1 gig of RAM
everything seems to be working fine untill i load the game, then it looks really choppy... the graphics dont look right its all broken up, I tried running it at the lowest settings possible, i downloaded the patch, direct x9 i updated the video card
can anyone help???

I'm confused on you dual CPU.... Maker? Model number?

first off thanks for replying i have been trying since last night
the mother board is gigabite, the CPU are both pentiume, Ironhawk i think...? the problem is that i can play but the graphics are messed up... just when i am in the game... also for a split second it works when the game loads then distorts

Do you physicaly have 2 processors? I mean you actually opened up the case and see 2 processors? Or did some software tell you that you do?

i build the cpu
you know there was another post with a guy having problems with sandbags .... this is similar but its all messed up

Ok, I'll take your word for it. Have you tried reinstalling BF2?

ASUSEEnhancedDriver118.ZIP... i downloaded it from the ASUS website

Try going to www.nvidia.com and downloading the newest drivers from there 78.xx

Ok i just ran the game, the first split second it was fine then, it turned choppy... however.... its better a bit now... the graphics are not as bad??? whats going on it was worse yesterday even the preview works and there is no lag when i play, just the graphics are messed up... that video card should work am i right?

2 dual 1.4 GHz is not equal to 2.8 GHz if the applications you run aren't coded to take advantedge of Symmetric Multi Proccessing (SMP) and BF2 is not, most games and applications aren't. Examples that are: Adobe Photoshop, Quake III
