Screen resolution

can any1 help i cant change bf2 screen resolution to 1280 X 1028 i have a 19" moniter and i have tried everything.

Have to add it to your command line.
Mine for example: "C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +szx 1280 +szy 1024
Do this by right clicking your BF2 Icon and then Properties add the bold bits to the end and apply

tried that doesent work i cant change the resolution to 1280 * 1028 in the game video options.

you cant change it IN the game it should be left alone in the Video options(800x600@60hz)
the command line switch will give it to you at that resolution.BTW 1280 x 1028 is not real resolution Native 19" LCD res is 1280x1024

Well I have been using it since the demo and it works. I just tested removing the line and its most definitely in 800x600 if I dont use it, I also tested 1280 x 960( in game option) it works

ok when i put that 1280 * 1024 in the bf2 shortcut it puts my screen on that resolution but bf2 will only let me select 1280 * 920 i think.

Yes bf2 will only let you select 1280 * 940 but if u have that command in shortcut it will be 1280 * 1024 just ignore whatever bf2 says it is in the video settings because you are actually running at 1280 * 1024.

Tried to explain that to him in my 2nd post....your NOT gonna see 1280x1024 IN the game options but if you put in the line your game WILL run at 1280 x 1024. My in game resolution in option is set to 800x600 I dont touch it but WHEN Im playing the game IS running in 1280x1024
