Map wont show on bf2

Hey, my friend made a map and sent it to me. I put it in the right folders, (levels) and it has info clientzip and server.zip/ i go into bf2, multiplayer, creat local but the map does not show up!! Although when he loads bf2 it works. He has given it to other people and it doesnt show up.

Can anyone help

Make sure the .desc file in the info folder is the same name as the folder of the map.

if correcting .desc file in info folder doesn't work, then your friend didn't pack the map correctly. There are thousands of paths for different objects, textures, colors, and many more in a map, if your friend made a mistake, and one of those paths (which affect BF2 menu map list) is incorrect, then its impossible to fix it. But hopefully its just .desc file in info folder.

accualy he by accident changed the name of the folder in the levels list but now i think when he tried to host a dedicated server it crashes at when you get the join game button.
