Sounds and crackles....

i got a new vid card today, cuase my other one died, i went from a Nvidia 5200xt to a ATI 6600 256mb... and now that i installed it i get little crackles after noises and stuff.... anyone else get these, and any fixes?

Ati doesn't make a 6600,and there's no such thing as a 5200xt. Otherwise try turning your sound to software mode in BF2.

oops my bad... 9600... used to nvidia....

oh and 5200 it comes coustom(tho ****ty) with my computer... FX5200XT...

and i think there is a 6600 from nvidia... not sure tho

Return the ATI 9600 256mb and get the 128mb one. Too much memory will slow down the GPU on that card. And more then likely you have cheap, slow ram.

And for your noise, upgrade your drivers. I'm guessing you have realtek AC'97. I had that same problem and just downloaded new drivers.

hehe yea i have the same... nice guess, and im runnin fine gettin 35fps on all high except ligting and shadows... thx
