Need Help ASAP!

I installed the game.And after i restart my comp i click on BF2 icon to load the game up,and the welcome screen comes up..then the screen goes black like its about to start and then it goes back to my windows.I meet all the system requirments needed to play..Anyone know what the problem is?

What are your specs? I don't understand how anyone expects help without giving specs....

sounds like a refresh rate issue. Disable all refresh locks you might have, set monitor to something safe like 800 x 600 85per and change settings to what you want in game, then you can go back and do refresh lock.

Try a forum search on "Splash screen" or "Crast to Desktop (CTD)". This issue has been addressed many times, this is why you aren't getting any responses.

Doesn't seem like a huge issue since he still hasn't replied with specs or further information for us all.
It does sound like the issue that PatchThis is describing though.

Make sure you have no refresh lockers running.

I've had this same problem before upgrading my video card...
But if ur card is ok, u should check it's settings (eventually in BIOS).
