its like this in game I cannot see peoples names and stuff all the text is in a sort of code. I have more images but cant host them I could send on msn.

Well, it looks like something got screwed up on your installed. Like it is missing a definations table or something to that effect. Try re-installing the game. Basically what you are seeing, is the code that the game uses to identigy things.

forgot to mention I purchased the thai version it is 100 legal got it on ebay and followed someones instructions on how to change language to english via regedit by changing language and locale to en_us.

I bet you don't have the english language file (which is needed). I'm not sure why you would ever buy a game off of E-bay. I would never buy software off of E-bay.

Unfortunately I was not able to find it, however I did find some other interesting things, like how to change the in-game chat font size.

Did it come shrinkwrapped, full retail, with manual and everything?

If so, EA should help you. Maybe you should contact them and see if they can send you a replace disc or something.

yes it came with cd code 3 discs etc but no box or manual brand new though.

You had no option to install the english version at all?
The problem IS as mentioned, with the language. You should have a folder called "Localization" in your "..Battlefield 2\mods\BF2\" folder. The path to my "Localization" folder looks like this:
"C:\Program\ea games\battlefield 2\mods\Localization\"
In that folder should be another folder called "English". In your case it's "Thai" or something similar I guess.
Maybe have a buddy who has the "English" folder share itwith you......?

Doesn't look good,man. I hate to recommend this, but I think the only way you're going to solve this is to know somebody how has a REAL copy of the game.
