    wierd freeze problem

i finaly got some of my new comp parts, i had my 3200+ OC to 2.5, it ran well regularly using my comp, but i went to play BF2 with my settings (high text and geometry all rest low and off) and after a while it would just freeze and lock up...so i downed it to 2.3 and it worked fine...is it bottlenecking?

    specs

    asus a8n sli
    1g value select
    3200+ @ 2.3
    5500 oc 256mb

two weeks till i get another gig and a 7800gt

No, its overheating most likely. Did you bother to check the temperatures? BF2 is extremely demanding and I know it raises my temp. in my case (ambient) by 4*C or so, which is a lot.

So its either the video card or something causing a hardlock. If it were bottlenecking it would simply stutter and have bad performance.

              I have a asus a8n deluxe, BFG 7800GTX OC, OZC platinum memory 2x1G, 2x Raptors in RAID0
this thing cost me about 1800$
I also have the freezing problem
owe my god..i wanted to break this thing.
              i covered all the basis,
up the memory voltage 2.8 volts- nothing.
tired both Silicon and Nvidia RAID methods, nothing.
all types of Nvidia gfx drivers nothing.

              after today, it seems stable.
basically at the moment it comes down to 2 things.
USE ONLY 6.65 NForce Drivers (6.66 is latest- do not use)
and DO NOT USE THE MARVELL GIGBIT Port..Stick with the NVidia Port.

these drivers are so daymn particular...I wish I bought the DFI LAN Party.
Tell me how it works out for you.

my chips set hovers around 38-42.
gfx idles at 50, 70 at load.
                  cpu is around 45C
                  every thing is stock.
although i had cut a hole in the side of my case for a case fan.

Also, I was refering chipset drivers, not forceware/graphics drivers....

Most likely outdated, download the latest from NVidias website.
