ghamespot ran it on HIGH, why the hell can't you believe it?? 1GB is enough for high, and that only.

I wish you the best when you run all high on a 64 player server with Daquin Oil Fields. And I don't care what Gamespot or anyone else says. I have tested it myself and the harddrive goes on and on if you run those settings. My Windows is stripped of anything that's not needed with 14 processes left and about 850MB free when I start BF2. On VIA motherboards the harddrive activity will be even more annoying because VIA harddrive controllers are slower and use more CPU (also tested on an ABIT AV8). I've seen a lot of posts on this forum where people have their problems of stuttering solved by adding more memory. If you stick to lower settings on 1GB you will avoid harddrive activity which will keep FPS higher and (if everything else is in order) keep stuttering away.

I play 32 players most of the time, and I dont plan on running everything on high. Just textures, geomatry, lighting on high, everything else on medium, no AA. And the res is at 1280X1024. The game actually runs worst on 1024X768 though.
